Hospice

Hospice serves patients and their families, providing comfort and support during an end-of-life illness.  The hospice team provides emotional and spiritual support which helps improve the quality of life.

The hospice team consists of specially trained nurses, a physician, pastoral care, and social workers and is available as a resource for physicians, patients and families 24/7 at any point during their illness. Assistance includes pain management, spiritual and social support, bereavement counseling, and helping families and nursing staff deal with their own stress as they care for patients with end-of-life situations.

Hospice is open to persons of all ages and diagnoses who meet the eligibility criteria regardless of race, religion or ability to pay.
