At Freeman Regional Assisted Living, our caring and professional staff is committed to promoting the health and quality of life (independence) of those who cannot or do not want to live alone.  Our goal is to create a warm, caring community while supporting residents’ personal care needs, safety, and dignity.

 

Freeman Regional Assisted Living is licensed by the South Dakota Department of Health as an Assisted Living facility able to provide:

    • Personal Care Assistance including dressing, grooming and hygiene support, incontinence management, bathing assistance (whirlpool available), and support with supplemental oxygen,
    • Health Maintenance including 24 hour on-site presence of a nursing team member and regular observation and assessment of physical and cognitive health,
    • Medication Management including medication administration and/or supervision available 24 hour per day,
    • Food & Nutrition Services including three home-cooked meals daily, snacks, and therapeutic diets (as needed) under the direction of a licensed dietitian,
    • Housekeeping & Laundry
    • Activities & Socialization including fitness & exercise groups, socials, games, music programs, participation in community activities, chapel services, and more, and
    • Transportation is available through the Freeman Transit at no additional cost within a 75 mile radius of Freeman.

Freeman Regional Assisted Living is licensed and approved to provide additional services to residents in need of:

    • Medication administration
    • Support for cognitive impairments
    • Support for physical impairments
    • Dependent on supplemental oxygen
    • Requiring therapeutic diets

Individuals interested in joining the Freeman Regional Assisted Living community will be reviewed based on the Assisted Living Guidelines per SD Administrative Rules  (44:70:01:05 – Acceptance and retention of residents).
