Freeman Regional Health Services ER is open 24-hours, 7-days a week. It is staffed with on-call medical providers. The 3-bay ER is equipped to handle more serious emergency situations with the assistance of eEmergency. eEmergency is an innovative concept that links health care facilities via two-way video equipment to emergency trained physicians and nurses who assist in the care of a patient from an off-site location – in this case, the location is Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
The eEmergency system was made available through the Leona Helmsley Foundation.
