Hello and Merry Christmas!
We hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well and enjoying the holidays! As 2022 comes to a close, we wanted to update you on the efforts of the Freeman Regional Health Services Foundation.
In January 2022, the FRHS Foundation held a raffle to raise money for a 3D Mammography. We knew the features of this equipment would make a tremendous difference in early detection for our patients, and we needed your help. Thanks to the generous support of people like you, the new unit was installed in March. Within a month, we received a call from Gloria to schedule an appointment for her annual exam – a call that would save her life.
I was in last spring for a mammogram and was told to follow-up in Sioux Falls (for diagnostic testing). I have a family history of breast cancer so I just figured everyone was paranoid. I didn’t make the follow-up appointment. Joan (an employee of FRHS) called to see if I had followed-up, and said she strongly recommend that I do. In September, I made an appointment. That call eventually led to a cancer diagnosis that was caught early. I want to say thank you to your staff for caring enough to give me a push to go for more investigation. I will be sharing my story of the Freeman Regional Radiology Department saving my life. Keep up the great work.

Our new 3D Mammography saw something irregular on Gloria’s scan, but, only when paired with the care and compassion of Joan, was Gloria convinced to seek more testing. If you supported the 2022 Raffle, thank you! Because of your generosity, you helped save Gloria’s life too.
Now we’re asking for your continued support. On January 1, we will kick off our 2023 Raffle for imaging equipment. The raffle will run through January 21, the day of our 12th Annual FRHS Foundation Gala.

3. Make a tax-deductible donation. Please make your tax-deductible donation by December 30 at noon to be eligible for a 2022 tax deduction.
It will take the generosity of many to raise the funds needed. We know that the benefits of the equipment, in the hands of our caring staff, will positively impact the patients we serve.
