Volunteers

Serve others as a volunteer

Share your heart with your neighbors as a volunteer at Freeman Regional. We’re always looking for volunteers who share our passion for community services, care deeply for other people and have the time and energy to give back. Together, we can make our community healthier and stronger.

Volunteer opportunities are available to help others in a hospital or senior living setting. Some of the areas for volunteer service include:

  • Assistance with the Sunday afternoon worship services at Freeman Regional Nursing Home and Assisted Living.
  • Helping with resident activities, which can include bingo, or helping residents write letters.
  • Reading to residents is a wonderful opportunity for any volunteer age.
  • Present afternoon or evening programs.
  • Meals-on-Wheels drivers and substitute drivers.
  • Take residents for a wheelchair ride or walk outdoors, or sit on the patio together.

Benefits of Volunteering:

  • Experience in a medical setting
  • Giving back to the community
  • Build interpersonal skills
  • Connect with staff and volunteers
