education from career professionals / simulations of real healthcare situations / hands-on experience

We are thrilled to invite area high schoolers to our upcoming Scrubs Camp, where they will have the opportunity to learn about healthcare careers and explore their interests in this field. Our camp will provide hands-on activities, simulations, and discussions with healthcare professionals, all of which will provide a comprehensive understanding of what it’s like to work in healthcare.

Our Scrubs Camp is designed to help discover and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in healthcare. Whether you’re interested in nursing, medicine, or any other healthcare-related field, our program will give you the chance to learn from experts and gain practical experience.

We know that high school is a time of exploration and discovery, and we believe that our Scrubs Camp will help students learn about the exciting opportunities available in healthcare. Participating groups include: Mitchell Tech Radiology, SIM-SD (Simulation in Motion – South Dakota) truck from Avera, University of South Dakota Nursing, Freeman Regional’s Physical Therapy Department, and Behavioral Health.

We are looking forward to Scrubs Camp and can’t wait to see the amazing things that our area students will accomplish in the future.
