- How did you become a part of the board?
I was invited to join the hospital board after the Dewald Street Village independent living facility was completed. I was the lending officer working with the hospital management through the Dewald St. Village process.
- What do you enjoy about being on the board?
I have found community healthcare interesting and have learned a lot being a board member over the years. Working with the other board members and management has been a great learning experience. Each member brings different skills and view-points to our meetings and helps in making the best decisions for the success of FRHS.
- What is something that impresses you or you appreciate about FRHS?
I am impressed by all of the people that work at FRHS. They have a strong dedication to our patients and residents. In addition, they work hard at keeping up with the demanding changes in healthcare and the continuous training required. I value and appreciate having convenient close access to healthcare that FRHS offers. FRHS provides a large number of jobs and has created healthcare career opportunities for our young people so they can live and stay in our communities.
- What do you look forward to for the future of FRHS?
I look forward to FRHS in its mission to prepare and provide for the changing health services in our community, and the goal of modernizing the facility to meet the future healthcare needs our communities deserve for many more generations to come.
