Social Services at Freeman Regional Health Services
The overall well-being and comfort of residents and patients at Freeman Medical Center and Oakview Terrace is the primary goal of the Social Services Department.
The social services staff, along with those from other departments, strive to help residents maintain their highest level of independence.
One of the key responsibilities of social services is to assist patients and residents who are adjusting to a new living situation, whether it be nursing home placement, short term hospital swing bed stay, or a return to their own homes, apartments or an assisted living facility.
Social Services also informs and helps clients access services available in the community which assist them in their homes, such as home health or meals on wheels.
